With the discontinuation of Araldite 1253 wood epoxy, Huntsman, the
manufacturer, has suggested that museums team up and purchase it in large
quantities and split it up amongst ourselves. This is the only option they
offer for purchasing and it seems time consuming and expensive. Huntsman
also suggested trying Epocast 1645, which they also manufacture. Has anyone
tried this or any other product for comparison to Araldite’s working
properties? If so, which product(s) and what was the result?
