The Costume Society of America, Western Region* announces the Jack Handford 
Internship for Summer 2018, appropriate for students from majors such as 
costume studies, material culture, or museum studies. The internship is 
designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about collections 
care and long term preservation goals specific to costumes and textiles.  The 
intern will gain experience in handling artworks, preparing archival materials 
for storage, conducting inventories, and exploring the museum database.
 
Student applicants must be an undergraduate about to commence their senior year 
in fall 2018, or a graduate student.  The winning student will receive a $2000 
stipend and will select a specific internship from proposals submitted by 
several museums in the region.  Student applicants must be current CSA Western 
Region members to apply.  Student application deadline is December 15, 2017.
