Dear colleagues I am a graduate student at the School of Conservation in Copenhagen, Denmark, where I am writing my Master thesis, which deals with metal soaps in oil paintings. More precisely, I study the phenomenon of protrusions, which can often be seen in the surfaces of the paintings as small, whitish, volcanic peaks that break through the paint surface.
In this regard, I have made a questionnaire, because I would like to examine how well-known the phenomenon is. Furthermore, I would also like to examine how practicing conservators perceive and consider the phenomenon in relation to the preservation states of the affected paintings, the visual appearances of the affected paintings and in relation to the subsequent treatments of the affected paintings. The questionnaire consists of six questions, that can be answered with checkboxes. I expect that the questionnaire will take about 2-5 minutes to answer. I would be very thankful if you have the time to answer it. If you would like to participate, you can find the questionnaire survey by the following link: Survey link: https://da.surveymonkey.com/r/CNSW2ZD <https://da.surveymonkey.com/r/CNSW2ZD> You can read more about my intentions with the survey in the introduction to the questionnaire. Thank you very much for your time and participation!
