Job description Do you have knowledge of museum or science collections and an interest in their materials and hazards? Are you a strong team-player? Would you like to learn new skills to contribute to an exciting museum project? One Collection is the Science Museum Group's major strategic initiative to re-imagine how our world-leading collection is cared for, accessed and shared. As part of this exciting project we are looking for three Collections Hazards Surveyors to help ensure all hazards within our collection are identified. As well as surveying the collection for hazards and updating the associated database, you will collaborate with colleagues on the storage, documentation, packing and transport of hazardous materials. You will assist hazard managers in maintaining hazard management systems and support colleagues to mitigate risk accordingly. You will have an interest in or experience of working with museum or science and technology collections, as well as strong organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team. You will be interested or knowledgeable about Health and Safety issues in relation to museum objects and have good written and oral communication skills.
