My name is Anna O’Regan and I am a postgraduate student at Northumbria University undertaking the MA Conservation of Fine Art (Works of Art on Paper). My dissertation is on eighteenth century print rooms and the issues with adhering unframed prints directly to the wall and identifying best practice for their conservation. I have created two surveys I would like to get responses from. 1. The first survey is aimed at any member of staff at any historic country house or hall which has or had a print room who can provide me with any details on the print room and whether it has been conserved or not. The second survey is for any conservator involved in the conservation of any print room in England and Ireland.The survey is called “The conservation of eighteenth century print rooms in England and Ireland” and can be found by following this link — https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/TBSZYX6. If you have conserved multiple print rooms, the survey format may not be suited for this please feel free to email me directly if this is the case. Any information gathered from these surveys will be stored for 6 months on a secure University server before being destroyed. The information will only be used for my dissertation and I will give due credit to any responders. If desired, your answers will remain anonymous (please state this in the survey). The surveys should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
