The Potomac Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers is really excited to
announce our next workshop with Gabrielle Fox!! September 15-16, 2018 (10am
to 5pm) held at the architectural playland, Glen Echo Park (near Washington
DC).

FLOWING SPINE BINDING
Join us for this two-day full leather binding with the expert instruction
of a teacher who is known internationally for her high-quality miniature
bindings, Gabrielle Fox! It's a real treat to have her here in Washington
for this special workshop! Based on Project 8 in *The Essential Guide to
Making Handmade Books
<https://www.abebooks.com/9781581800197/Essential-Guide-Making-Handmade-Books-1581800193/plp>*,
this variation provides the strength and flexibility of a tight backed book
with the action of a hollow tube. The full leather spine can be titled or
decorated as in a traditional binding. Some previous bookbinding experience
will be helpful.
