I would like to invite anyone who has conserved a tapestry in their career (even if you don't identify as a 'tapestry conservator') to fill in the following short survey, to help inform my dissertation research into 'communities of practice' within tapestry conservation. The questionnaire should only take about 10 minutes, and all submissions are anonymous. https://uofg.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_77ZXsCOhTSBVZYi <https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fuofg.qualtrics.com%2Fjfe%2Fform%2FSV_77ZXsCOhTSBVZYi&data=05%7C02%7C2993275B%40student.gla.ac.uk%7C93ebfc67cfb94eed48c308deb0da3058%7C6e725c29763a4f5081f22e254f0133c8%7C1%7C0%7C639142648311006026%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=5qVko63HiUGGZB3MkgYm2s3aNpjY5EckpP14sYlfgow%3D&reserved=0> I greatly appreciate your time and contribution. I am wondering if anyone has experience working with the material and could give me pointers on identifying characteristics of gutta percha and how to differentiate it from other materials. I am also interested if anyone has come across characteristic aging phenomena like white bloom(?), wrinkled surface and/or glossiness/mottling on gutta percha. Thanks for any help! ------------------------------ Hannah Cook Amsterdam Netherlands ------------------------------ You are subscribed to "Global Conservation Forum (ConsDistList)" as [email protected].
