You're probably remembering Ken Panton's post on August 4th, which said (in part):
... re gibberish Shared Weight emails. If you are referring to summary emails filled with repetitive, annoying unparseable HTML text, I was seeing the same. A couple of days ago I went to the Shared Weight FAQs and I refer you to FAQ #5 subsection #6 re setting to MIME. I think it solved it for me.
