Hi Rick, I do a petronella variant that is great for role free. No swings, if that matters:
Duple Minor, can be proper or improper A1/2: Petronella x 4 (From place, no diamonds) B1: Ones down the center, turn alone, return, cast off or hand cast with neighbor. B2: R/L Through across and back Notes: There are a lot of alternative possibilities for B2, provided people remember to progress the ones by the end (if the cast off is done, anything that returns people to place) In B1, Ones could also turn as couples, which would swap their places each time through; something of a novelty.
