My go-to 4x4 is First Bloom by Al Olson. Another that I do frequently is Power of the Turn by Dwayne Johnson. I usually do a modified version starting with the circle left halfway rather than the partner balance and swing in order to have the partner balance and swing at the end of the dance instead of at the beginning.

My idea of a classic 4 facing 4 is Becky Hill's Richfield Stomp. (Includes square thru 4 and grand right & left). There are so many others, but I'll let others suggest them.
