Actually I'd rather this was not released.

It really looks as though the new version of ddclient (3.10) is broken in some
areas, and cannot be relied on to work in the reliable way that 3.9 did. In
particular some people are finding that they need to use "curl" to stay stable
(inc me), and some need to use the socket implementation (which is the
default), and some issues with the cached previous results.

I suspect that we are witnessing the slow decline and fall of ddclient.

I'm looking at an alternative "ddupdate":

I'll open a bug about it.
