1. Yesterday finally I could make the basic functionality of MNF working in a test environment - my DSL is connected to a hardware router, and MNF is behind that. 2. I wonder if it would be working directly on the DSL with PPPoE, with those ignored dependency-problems. If that works (I doubt that) I will test the IDSs with some portscans. 3. I need it not only in this environment, but in the future at many customers's sites, protecting various kind of connections (dsl, leased line w/router, etc). Fully functional, running VPN or protecting VPN behind it, DMZ servers, etc. So I need to make MNF work with your help or choose another software (honestly smoothwall GPL 2 beta is very promising) 4. I need to know what form of remote admin notification is possible in email. I tried to trigger something, but nothing came. Should it go through a syslog system always? Right now I am running MNF without it.
