When you get to the yaboot prompt, press TAB.  Then whichever kernel you'd
like to run, say for instance "linux", type:

linux video=ofonly

You won't have a functioning X just yet, but you should at least be able
to boot the machine.  If this works, add an "append" stanza in /etc
yaboot.conf in the appropriate listing

append=" video=ofonly" 

(right before read-only is a good place - note the leading space)

run ybin and you should not need to type this afterward.  The 2.4.4-6.1mdk
kernel will probably give you X functionality, but you may get a lockup on
exiting X - I'm working on that (see previous message)
