VMware virtualizes the x86 processor, so it won't run on anything but an
x86, ever.
The alternative is to emulate every opcode, which is much less speedy, but
it can theoretically work on any platform.
The best bet in this case is Bochs (http://bochs.sourceforge.net/), which
I think not only works on PowerPC Linux, but also has RPMs for download.
