It was tested under 8.0 but there's no reason it wouldn't work for 8.2. found that >> There is no way for the installer to know what display you are running. The installer (when probing) returns a powerbook display - which is essentially just different freqs, but you cannot specificy the iBook display (with supposedly the correct freqs) even though it is listed as it will fail. period. no X. >> And as far as things go the PowerBook display goes. I seem to recall Stew saying that the PowerBook display was the correct display to use for the iBook's. Maybe for newer iBooks. But for this blueberry (at least) it isn't. >> Not sure about the video card. But all the Rage Mobility cards should be using the same driver as far as I know. So it shouldn't really know. Your right and wrong. The Mobilitys' are just Rage cards using Mach64. The only real difference between the cards that I know of is memory, ... which would have no bearing on the issue to begin with.. I mentioned it only because the Mobility L was not even listed.. but I swear... for whatever reason, if you specificy the Mobility R you get nothing... >> At an rate you can find the XF86Config-4 that I was using on the iBook here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=mandrake-cooker-ppc&m=101237734113932&w=2 Again, got it... still having problems... -- Get your free email from www.linuxmail.org Powered by Outblaze
