For you gnome users, theres a new/old gnome-control center at:
http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~sbenedict/ You'll also want the xscreensaver updates there. You probably need to uninstall gnome-control-center-plus, and possible gnome-pilot, as well as manually rm -fr /usr/share/control-center/ (check and make sure it's not owned by anything: rpm -qif /usr/share/control-center) This rolls back to version 1.4 of the control-center, which does not use the bonobo-moniker stuff. I fought for a while with 1.5, and did not really come up with a working solution. With 1.4 you can at least change the settings.
