apmd will have limited usefulness on ppc. pmud is generally what is used on laptops. There is an apm_emu module in the kernel that gives some funtionality (kde battery monitor, etc.) > If mol specifically stipulates that it does support osx on the website > why does the Mandrake rpm specifically not support osx? > > MOL did not yet support OSX at that time. The current package does not have that exclusion in the description, although we are still working through apparently Mandrake specific issues with MOL and OSX. -- Stew Benedict -- MandrakeSoft PPC FAQ: http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/ppcFAQ.php3 IRC: irc.freenode.net #cooker-ppc Archives: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=mandrake-cooker-ppc&r=1&w=2
