The answer is really simple : create two scripts, kde1 and kde2, which export QTDIR, KDEDIR, LD_LIBRARY_PATH (not necessary if 100% of the apps use -rpath), and prepend $KDEDIR/bin to PATH. source whatever script you want from command line, and you switched to the other environment. If the problem is also how to do it on startup, well it's just about adding a new environment in kdm (see kdmrc) and the check for it in the xdm config file that has the corresponding switch. (In that file, source the correct kde[12] file and launch startkde). HTH. -- David Faure [EMAIL PROTECTED] - KDE developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Mandrake [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Cramer Systems
