I just upgraded Mandrake 6.1 to 7.0b.
The upgrade went really good, so my compliments on great grafical
installation. After upgrade process was successfull I restarted the
computer and booted from my Linux boot flop. The only trouble then was
my root pass wasn't valid anymore so I was locked out of my own
system ;) I think the upgrade process had something to do with that.
The standard solution was to empty pass files after rebooting from a
rescue disk and manually mounting file system in r/w mode. But I think
that's a real difficult solution ;)

I don't really know if it's an error on my behalf, but I think the
upgrade process replaced the password file with an empty one and
because I performed an upgrade I wasn't able to choose a new password.
Maybe the fact I boot Linux from a flop messed up the upgrade.

Keep up the good work,
