I am looking at buying a new soundcard for my Linux box. I currently have a Esolo
chipset type of card but it does not seem to run stereo sound. I was looking at
either the PCI 512 or the LIVE! value both from Creative. Have any of you been
successful with using these cards.
I checked Creative first before asking this question. Creative reports the AWE64 Gold
card's drivers are opensource now, but that either of the cards I am seeking to
purchase. I did see at Creative's opensource site that DXR2 are open source with no
bugs. Does this mean that I could my DVD card and player within Linux now?
