I tried to update to man-pages-1.29-1mdk and got the following conflicts:
# rpm -Uvh /tmp/man-pages-1.29-1mdk.noarch.rpm
file /usr/man/man3/dlclose.3.bz2 from install of man-pages-1.29-1mdk conflicts with
file from package ld.so-1.9.5-13mdk
file /usr/man/man3/dlerror.3.bz2 from install of man-pages-1.29-1mdk conflicts with
file from package ld.so-1.9.5-13mdk
file /usr/man/man3/dlopen.3.bz2 from install of man-pages-1.29-1mdk conflicts with
file from package ld.so-1.9.5-13mdk
file /usr/man/man3/dlsym.3.bz2 from install of man-pages-1.29-1mdk conflicts with file
from package ld.so-1.9.5-13mdk
file /usr/man/man5/resolver.5.bz2 from install of man-pages-1.29-1mdk conflicts with
file from package bind-utils-8.2.2P5-2mdk
Is there not a system and/or box at MandrakeSoft which tracks Cooker
(i.e. as new packages are built they are installed on that box before
being released to avoid these kinds of conflict errors) or is that what
we are all about? :-) If there is a system which packages are tested on
before being released, why would this error not have shown up when the
package tested the installation on the above mentioned "tracking" box?
