[Cooker] Boot error

I'm having trouble installing cooker. I now get "ERROR LBA" when
booting.  
Award BIOS 1997 w/ 8.4G HD.
Separate /boot partition just after 3gig FAT32

I tried the "no LBA" switch and same result.

Any ideas? I've not had problems with Mandrake before.
