Currently working on a Mandrake 7.0-2 system. I find the following :
[schon@localhost ~]$ man -c printf
Formatting page, please wait...
/usr/bin/groff: troff: Segmentation fault
[schon@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/groff
groff-1.15-1mdk
[schon@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/troff
groff-1.15-1mdk
[schon@localhost ~]$ ls -la /usr/man/man1/printf.1.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1001 Oct 24 22:32
/usr/man/man1/printf.1.bz2
[schon@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/man/man1/printf.1.bz2
sh-utils-2.0-2mdk
[schon@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/man
man-1.5g-13mdk
This is the first man page for which I have had any problem. Other
man pages seem to work fine. I don't need the man page for printf.
I can find the information from man sprintf. Still, it appears that
there is something amiss.
I don't see any updates for the sh-utils, groff, or man packages in
the Cooker mirrors.
Cheers.
Jason Schonberg.
