I think if menu is going to remove all kdelnk and desktop files, then
spec-helper for example should check if the file list contains a menu
entry, if not then it should run a conversion script to say change my
RealPlayer.kdelnk to /usr/lib/menu/RealPlayer. In fact, I see some
automatic conversion is done for the KDE panel, so I don't see why this
isn't working. This will ensure that apps with kdelnk or desktop files
will have a menu entry and it sounds like doing something like this would
be a great idea.
