ls -l /etc/X11/X
If the file this symlink points to is named "XFree86", then
the new XFree-4.0 server is used. If it's any other file,
then the old 3.3.6 (or other) server... is used.
Config-file for the 4.0 server is named "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4",
can be created with "XFdrake" from DrakConf-*
