go to home directory

Open nautilus at home directory
Drag test directory to trash
try emptying trash

sounds convoluted, but it's a reproduction of what happens if you copy a folder 
from an NTFS partition, then try deleting it.

If a folder without group write permissions is sent to the trash, it is
impossible to empty the trash afterwards because of permission errors. (Have to
su in as root, then manually delete from .Trash)
