This can't be resolved if you provide no debugging information.

Bug is invalid, if rpm is correctly enforcing the requires/conflicts listed in
the spec file, closing as such.

In most cases requires/conflicts are specifically placed to ensure correct
building of packages. If you have problems, file a bug with the specific package.

I'm trying to rebuild a package to avoid a file conflict
with an installed package.  The act of trying to rebuild
the package conflicts with the installation according to
rpm, which requires me to use the --nodeps flag to run
'rpm -ba ...'.  This is bogus.  In a previous version of
rpm, the --clean and --rmsource flags required --nodeps
to remove the building files.  I reported this through
channels to the rpm author.  Now the bug is worse.
