[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-16 23:08 ------- This can't be resolved if you provide no debugging information. Bug is invalid, if rpm is correctly enforcing the requires/conflicts listed in the spec file, closing as such. In most cases requires/conflicts are specifically placed to ensure correct building of packages. If you have problems, file a bug with the specific package. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: RESOLVED creation_date: description: I'm trying to rebuild a package to avoid a file conflict with an installed package. The act of trying to rebuild the package conflicts with the installation according to rpm, which requires me to use the --nodeps flag to run 'rpm -ba ...'. This is bogus. In a previous version of rpm, the --clean and --rmsource flags required --nodeps to remove the building files. I reported this through channels to the rpm author. Now the bug is worse. Can you help? Thanks....
