           Product: kernel-2.4.21.0.13mdk
         Component: libsasl2-plug-ntlm
Summary: Won't boot on Latitude XPi because of HD
           Version: 1-1mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

2.4.19-16mdk boots fine on this machine, but this new kernel won't, even with
acpi=off noapic. It fails to use the hard-drive:

CDM643: simplex device. DMA forced
hda: IBM-DCRA-22160, ATA DISK drive
...
partition check:
hda: lost interrupt
hda: dma_intr: bad DMA status (dma_stat=1)
hda: dma_intr: status=0x50 {DriveReady, SeekComplete}

and so on every time it tries to access the hard drive. I tried to boot with
ide0=nodma ide1=nodma, but it does not change anything.

# hdparm -I /dev/hda

Of course, that means that the install floppy does not boot either.
