           Product: kernel-2.4.21.0.14mdk
         Component: libsasl2-plug-ntlm
Summary: SIS DRM missing in current kernel
           Version: 1-1mdk
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I own a laptop based on the SIS630 chipset (PIII) that has a 3D-accelerated
SIS300/310/315 gpu.

During installation, the mdk installer tells me that 3D-acceleration is
supported for this card in mandrake, yet it isn't.

There are 2 reasons for this:

1) The current kernel lacks the SIS-DRM option, that afaik was present up to
kernel 2.4.20.

2) The installer uses vesafb instead of sisfb, but thats another story (and
another bugreport).

As far as 1) is concerned, the SIS-code itself is present in drivers/char/drm
but both Makefile and Config.in don't include it, no idea why.

I attach a patch for drivers/char/drm/Config.in and drivers/char/drm/Makefile
that makes SIS DRM selectable again.
