Hi!

I was wondering if it was a good idea to make rpms of the different styles and fonst. etc the latex packages
from CTAN.

My idea was to make a sort of tetex-contrib package with different styles, fonts etc taken from the CTAN misc and contrib
archive.

Many of the packages have missing install information and may be for a beginner in Latex difficult to use. By providing as many as possible packages and style, etc for LaTex, Mandrake could become the best Linux distribution for LaTeX users.

I am not sure if the best place for the Latex packages would be in the Tetex-rpm or in some sort of Tetex-contrib rpm.

I' am willing to make such an rpm, but need input in the best way to solve this.

Input on this would be nice.
Especially if this is a good or bad idea?

Of technical issues.
Do you have some input on how to register new packages in the global tetex environment?

Some tips on how to best solve this?
