Hi, I see some strange behaviour from time to time when installing packages. Take a look at:
http://eijk.homelinux.org/build/cooker/urpmi/i586/gnome-terminal-2.3.1-1mdk It shows this: @@@ Installing: libgnomeui2-devel <snip> Installation failed: libfontconfig.so is needed by libbonoboui2_0-devel-2.2.2-1mdk libfontconfig.so is needed by libgnomecanvas2_0-devel-2.3.0-2mdk libfontconfig.so is needed by libgnomeui2_0-devel-2.3.3-1mdk Which is strange, because libfontconfig1-devel was installed a few lines before it (libfontconfig1-devel-2.2.0-3mdk.i586.rpm), and libfontconfig1-devel Provides libfontconfig.so. [EMAIL PROTECTED] stefan]$ urpmq libfontconfig.so -r libfontconfig1-devel-2.2.0-3mdk I've also seen this with other dependencies, it's not limited to libfontconfig.so. Any idea why this happens? Is this perhaps related to using the --root option (these packages are installed into a chroot)? regards, Stefan
