Friday, I replaced libgtk+2.0_0-2.2.1 by libgtk+2.0_0-2.2.2-1mdk on my machine.
That seems to do the trick. I haven't crashed since then.

I also had to update the following packages :
gtk+2.0-2.2.2-1mdk
libgdk_pixbuf2.0_0-2.2.2-1mdk
libgtk+-x11-2.0_0-2.2.2-1mdk

Regarding to GTK-2.2.1 bug http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106311

I do believe this fix is not present in the GTK version (2.2.1-2mdk) ship with
Mandrake 9.1.

RedHat 8.1 (phoebe, gtk version 2.2.1-1) had this bug but it has fixed for
RedHat 9.0 (gtk version 2.2.1-4), see:
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=85317

This problem cause a GTK app to freeze it is really bad. It should be patch for
Mandrake.

The patch is available at:
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=90407&action=view

Thanks
