I updated some of packages on http://supermount-ng.sf.net/mdk-25/. It is mostly modules cleanup. It attempts to provide framework for input device configuration - in short, you are expected to define suitable modules as mouse-mod, joystick-mod etc in modprobe.conf. Like
install mouse-mod /sbin/modprobe psmouse etc. Do not use alias, it does not work well with module-init-tools :( It also updates rc.modules to use alternative file on 2.5 instead of /etc/modules as suggested by David Walser. The file name is /etc/modprobe.preload. I already mentioned gktrellm :) -andrey
