If everyone assumes this opinion, who's going to tell us? (I have a good
excuse, one-day lag on my mirror ;-).

Anyway, if you have a currently-working non-default-named (ie
linux/linux-nonfb/linux-smp etc etc) image, installing a new kernel
won't mess with it, so you should be able to boot your current kernel
without problems.

I guess it's time to file a bug on initscripts for /sbin/installkernel
though ...
