------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-01-07 18:16 ------- On a fully updated 9.1 system, this option isn't available. I'm sorry that I haven't got a cooker system to test with - all I can tell you is that there is definitely a bug in the released (9.1) version, and what you need to do to fix it. This is a serious bug - in that it makes use of KDE a misery if not fixed, since all fonts are far too small! (1600x1200 at only 15" is now becoming common for laptops). Adding the feature would be simple; alternatively please at least give a reference to it so that people can find the workaround. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Drakconf should allow you to set the physical size of the display, as well as the resolution. Otherwise, on a screen such as 15" LCD, at 1600x1200, all the fonts are tiny. The following settings are needed: 1)Measure the display size with a ruler 2)Add to XF86Config-4 the line: DisplaySize 304 228 (x,y in mm) 3)Find the DPI using xdpyinfo | grep resolution 4)Change the line in /etc/X11/Xresources to: Xft.dpi: 133 (result of step 3). 5)Restart X and xfs Please do add a wizard to do this, or alternatively, mention the possibility in the documentation...
