"it's not what the new release brings, but what it doesn't anymore: GGV no longer registers as a viewer for PDF files, leaving this role to GPdf." I understand this sentence as "GPDF is now the default PDF viewer in Gnome", this doesn't mean that pdf is no longer supported in ggv. The PDF attached in the bug report now looks good in GGV, so the bug should be marked as fixed instead of wontfix :-) -- Olivier Blin
