This looks like yet another duplicate of 1222, which was fixed a week before
this bug report. I am going to mark it as such, so if the original poster still
had problems with this in 9.1 final, they should re-open with more detail on how
to reproduce.

Right after installing Mandrake 9.1 RC-2, I could use my eth0 to ping in my
local network, but I couldn't use a DNS server to go to an internetpage. DNS
servers are automaticlly given by my DHCP server (Mandrake 8.2), but 9.1 seems
to ignore those.

A solution is inserting a few DNS servers in /etc/resolv.conf
