hi all, after a horrendous weekend dealing with faulty memory modules I think it would be very nice to have the badram kernel patch officially included in the mdk kernel:
http://rick.vanrein.org/linux/badram/ The patch prevents the kernel from accessing identified bad memory regions (probably found by memtest86) and thus allows to further use those bad memory modules instead of littering them. I have a patch ready for the current 2.4.21-6 kernel, so if anybody is interested, I'll post it here. happy hacking udo
