[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-29-07 12:26 ------- Fixed in gdm 2.4.2.98 -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: RESOLVED creation_date: description: In RC3, if you logout of a GNOME session and select SHUTDOWN or REBOOT, the system actually does begin shutdown (you can see one or two lines flash in text mode about entering runlevel 6), but X restarts and puts up the GDM login panel again. If you hit CTRL-ALT-BKSP, the shutdown takes over (it is in progress) and opens the bootsplash screen as it should have done to start with. This works correctly if MdkKDM is used as the display manager. It also works on systems which aren't using the bootsplash. It appears to be a race condition between GDM and the bootsplash code.
