In the May 18 Cooker, under the Software Development / Source Code section of
file descriptions (Configuration -> GNOME -> Advanced -> File Types and
Programs) many of the entries have Open Office listed as the default action. 
This does not work very well.

I can't figure out how to do it, but it seems to be that the correct default
would simply be to use the Text Viewer (the dialog seems to limit you to
choosing an external application).
