I think it may be best to keep that kind of artwork out the distro, from a 
professionalism point of view, MS doesn't have a splash screen saying "GPL 
is IP theft" or "Better UNIX than UNIX" (even though they might have 
similar things in their ads). IMHO, the Windows XP/Win2k3 splash stuff is 
quite nice, a dark bakckground with bright graphics in the center looks 
quite good.

With the current penguin on the console, I was wondering if it's feasible 
to have usage hints on it, say on the right in subtly-coloured text, stuff 
like:
Root only:
Setup X: XFdrake
Setup  : drakxconf

User:
GUI  : startx
Edit : nano
Files: mc

I guess /etc/issue may be a better mechanism, but I still think "user 
dumped in console login without X" hasn't been solved, and was a big issue 
for 9.1 ...
