------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-12-08 19:48 ------- I should mention as well that I've been using 24-bit color in all cooker updates and beta/RC installs since Mdk 9.0. No noticable problems with artifacts (as I understand the meaning) at any of those times. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: When using XFDrake (and during the install), my ThinkPad 390X's video card appears to be correctly identified automatically. However, there are two similar-but-different choices among the four under the NeoMagic heading: "(laptop/notebook)" and "MagicMedia (laptop/notebook)". On initial install, "MagicMedia (laptop/notebook)" is automatically selected. However when returning later in XFDrake, "(laptop/notebook)" is always selected upon load. No matter how often I change the setting to "MagicMedia (laptop/notebook)" and save, upon returning to XFDrake the shorter entry is selected instead. This may be purely cosmetic; I haven't looked at the configuration files to see if the underlying settings actually differ. However, because XFDrake is aimed at a less-experienced audience, this behavior should probably be corrected. This bug has been around since release 9.0, but I thought I'd bring it up now since 9.2 is the "tidy things up" release.
