description:
I have a noisy pptp-linux connection that seems to work fine with ppp-2.4.1-9mdk
and pptp-linux-1.1.0 (Mandrake 9.1). However, when I upgrade to cooker versions
of ppp and pptp-linux, the connection locks up quickly.

The matrix is

ppp-2.4.1-9mdk and pptp-linux-1.1.0-3mdk works fine. Lots of messages about
dropped packets

Aug 6 13:10:24 bodhi pptp[22016]: log[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:262]: discarding
out-of-order seq is 36 seqrecv is 37
Aug 6 13:10:24 bodhi pptp[22016]: log[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:262]: discarding
out-of-order seq is 42 seqrecv is 43
Aug 6 13:10:31 bodhi pptp[22016]: log[decaps_gre:pptp_gre.c:262]: discarding
out-of-order seq is 160 seqrecv is 161

ppp-2.4.1-10mdk and pptp-linux 1.1 also works
ppp-2.4.1-11mdk and pptp-linux 1.1 locks after a minute
ppp-2.4.1-9mdk and pptp-linux 1.3 also locks
ppp-2.4.1-10mdk and pptp-linux 1.3 locks

I suspect that there is more code in ppp and pptp to deal with out of order
packets and this runs into the well know problems with ip over ip locking up
over lossy lines.
