I think you are doing a big mistake if you treate the users as idiots. I have 
a daughter that only uses Microsoft. Once when she was here one of my sons 
helped her to do some downloads from a friends ftp server. As he is a Unix 
administrator he learned her to use ftp from a konsole. She had no problem 
what so ever and liked to know what she was doing.

If you take away what is the pure blood of Unix, it says more about you or the 
users in France than about the necessity to hide the beaty of Unix.
