On one of my test systems, I have two CD devices, one a Toshiba DVD-ROM
SD-M1612, and the other a Lite-On CD-RW LTR-40125S device.  After upgrading this
system to the latest cooker (03 Sep 2003) from the previous 9.2 beta 2, I got
numerous messages about new "CDROM" devices having been found, and added. In
LILO, I have both hdc and hdd set to ide-scsi. When I booted this system, here
is what was in fstab:

/dev/hda1 / ext3 defaults 1 1
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0620 0 0
/dev/hda6 /home ext3 defaults 1 2
none /mnt/cdrom supermount
dev=/dev/scd8,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom10 supermount
dev=/dev/scd2,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom2 supermount
dev=/dev/scd0,fs=auto,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom3 supermount
dev=/dev/scd12,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom4 supermount
dev=/dev/scd11,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom5 supermount
dev=/dev/scd7,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom6 supermount
dev=/dev/scd13,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom7 supermount
dev=/dev/scd10,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom8 supermount
dev=/dev/scd9,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/cdrom9 supermount
dev=/dev/scd5,fs=udf:iso9660,ro,--,iocharset=iso8859-1 0 0
none /mnt/floppy supermount
dev=/dev/fd0,fs=auto,--,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,umask=0,sync 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0

According to KDE Control Center, the system has found all the possible LUNS on
each device.
