It is well recognised so I can access it through /dev/scd1. But when I start playing an audio CD in it with KsCD, no sound comes from the speakers. I searched the web and found that the module amdtp is responsible for streaming the audio through IEEE1394 to the soundcard, and I see that it is not loaded. Manually inserting it gives: [EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# insmod amdtp Using /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz: unresolved symbol cmp_unregister_opcr_R7ae23f09 /lib/modules/2.4.21pre4-6mdk/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/amdtp.o.gz: unresolved symbol cmp_register_opcr_Red15c04c
