  And they face the same problems we do. Last time I've tried to upgrade
a Debian 2.0 to a pre-2.2 with apt, the system crashed during the
upgrading of the glibc package, leaving the system unusable. I had to
manually change the package back from my Mandrake.

  A friend of mine told me that 'apt' only works great if you have a very
recent Debian.
