I cannot reproduce this bug. How does the main window of printerdrake look like?
Is it the old one with the buttons at the bottom and the printer list at the
top? Or is it the new one with buttons at the top and icons on the buttons and
the printers listed in two tabs?
If you have the old main window, please update the drakxtools to the current
Cooker version (5mdk or newer).
Please tell whether thebupdate helped.
If you observed the problem with the new main window, please tell the EXACT
steps to reproduce the problem.

It's hard to pin this down because it flies by so quickly, but in the last week
or so when printerdrake configures a printer during install you see several of
these tiny 1-character empty popup windows appear and disappear as other status
popups are appearing and disappearing.
