I haven't finished the schema-checking script I wanted to complete for
openldap-2.0.x->openldap-2.1.x migration, so I looked at it today, and
remembered why not:

This seems to be caused by:
Net::SSLeay::randomize('/dev/urandom');
The man page shows:
randomize() seeds the eay PRNG with /dev/urandom (see top of
SSLeay.pm
for how to change or configure this) and optionally with user
provided
data. It is very important to properly seed your random numbers,
so do
not forget to call this. The high level API functions automatically
call randomize() so it is not needed with them. See also caveats.
So, I think the file auto/Net/SSLeay/randomize.al needs to be provided
for decent SSL support ... it seems to have been present before, but was
removed:
