Strangely enough, with the ps/2 keyboard plugged in, the usb keyboard worked. I rebooted into the installer again with the usb keyboard only and it did not work. I did not see any kernel message sin the console. I am thinking that this is before the kernel usb interface is loaded as my mouse is not lit up yet and it would be relying on the BIOS usb keyboard support. My BIOS is set to USB keyboard support on, so I am not sure what is going on here. (USB keyboard and USB mouse) The keyboard works but not the mouse.
